We had a great summer over at the Pub. Many Pubbers, from far and wide congregated in Washington D.C. and the Big Apple for a Pub Meetup, as well as Oklahoma, Texas, Pennsylvania and Maryland.... all over the map! We are definately thinking about doing it again next summer/fall - Vegas anyone??

Now, with Fall here, we are all chattin' it up. Alexis has the book club a-readin' away on the Twilight Series, among other things. Stop on by and check us out!

Fitness & Weightloss

Our favorite Admin, Dawn has started a new weightloss contest! Right now, there are 11 contestants. Each contestant has to post a starting full body picture and a scale picture. There are weekly challenges that have to be completed. A picture must be posted of each person doing one of the challenges. Each Tuesday, they weigh in and post a picture of the scales. The first week, they were down 19 pounds!

If you don't complete the challenges or gain weight, then you have to pay into the kitty (points). Way to go, ladies! We know you can do it!!!

There's a new forum at The Pub! Shooters is the new photography forum! Youshi, TEAZ and Jenzy (our resident photography gurus) will be Mods of the forum and hope to bring discussion of their art to everyone interested in photography. So if you love to take pictures or want to learn more, come on over and discuss. And we know that some photowhoring will be going on, too! LOL

We apologize for any inconvenience that you have experienced. Our server provider has been upgrading their servers and redirectig things and it has caused difficulty for some to log in or even get to the website at all. We have set up a PUBBERS 911 resource for just such problems. It is a notification service, and you can also contact admin through it. Please sign up for it, if you would like to be on the list.

Also remember to check our blog and our MySpace page for updates (although it's true, they are not updated as regularly as we would hope!).

Easter is only a couple days away and everyone is busy busy busy! Some pubbers recently celebrated Passover as well. Now that the board is up and running again things are hopping along smoothly. Nikki, Scuba, Shari and others have been very helpful with providing Easter dinner ideas in The Kitchen. Kimmber has kept the American Idol and Survivor chat alive in our Entertainment forum. Not to mention all the hubbub going on with our League of Leagues team on the Celebdaq! Don't forget you need to register if you want to participate in the Patio forum's everyday chit chat.

The Pub is back at it's regular site! www.theneighborhoodpub.com is where it's at! We finally got everything transferred to the new server and it is up and going, just like normal. Please drop on in, pull up a stool and have a cold one with us.

The Admins would really like to thank everyone for their patience during this transitional time. We hope that these changes will only improve the site even more and give the members all the features that they love.

Wow! It's already March! I don't know what has happened to the time. Things are busy as ever at The Pub. We have several new members and have been having a lot of traffic. If you are looking for any new recipies, be sure to check out The Kitchen. There is also always some great topics going on Behind Closed Doors and on the Patio.

Those crazy Canuks, Shari and Summer have been keeping us in stitches, eh, with all their hilarity.

We had a great superbowl pool going on and Nikki "the Commish" did a terrific job in getting it going and running it.

Really, things are just awesome at the Pub. Why don't you join us?

Happy New Year from The Pub! We hope 2007 is bigger and better than anything you've ever imagined. With the new year comes lots of new faces and friends along with the friends we already know and love. The Pub has been growing in leaps and bounds since we switched software and it's been wonderful. Tons of interesting and often times hysterically funny posts are made daily, as well as the enormous amount of support given to those in need.

Our contest has ended and we congratulate S and M Mommy for not only taking first place but second place as well! Summerof79's entry took third with honorable mentions for Moggers and Jenzy. Great job ladies! Stay tuned for the next contest at The Pub. Also, It's not too late to participate in our Weekly Celebdaq Smackdown!. Join the fun in buying and selling of shares in celebrities based upon how much gossip they generate.

Wow! it's been busy busy busy at The Pub Another Pub mom has welcomed a sweet baby boy to the world, Jack Alexander. We cannot wait to see pictures and hear about the wonderful and exciting times of having a newborn. Many of us have forgotten what it is like anymore. The celebrity gossip has been flying with the participants of the Celebdaq Smackdown! ScubaDiva is the first player to reach millionaire status with Jenn following closely behind. It's been an interesting competition and there's still time to join, it's a weekly contest for all who want to play.

Several student pubbers have wrapped up long and hard semesters in school this fall. Everyone is looking forward to that nice long Winter break before heading back to school and cracking the books again.

Since the new year is coming it's only fitting that we mention resolutions, most people say they want to lose weight and get in better shape. To learn more and get that support and extra push to continue on, check out our Weight loss and fitness forums. The members are outstanding and always willing to give that bit of encouragement or enthusiasm needed.

It has been said that the pub is the heart of a community. Well, the purpose of The Neighborhood Pub is the same that any neighborhood pub has been doing for generations - creating a community. It is a place to go and let off some steam, to laugh with friends, to play a game or argue politics. It is a place to drown your sorrows, share lifes joys, or just gossip with the girls.

The Neighborhood Pub is a free, web-based discussion community that caters mostly to women who are passionate, outspoken, and opinionated on top of being supportive and great fun!

"The Pub" was established in 2003 from a rouge group of 'mommies' that met at StorkNet. These women were tired of the censorship of their ideas and words and longed to express themselves in an non-oppressive environment. They took their "you say it, you own it" mentality and ran with it. Five years later, they are still going strong, and growing.

"I wanted a community that was warm, welcoming, and provided something for everyone," said Administrator Jenn. They have acheived that. The community features many different discussion areas for politics, entertainment, parenting, relationships, sex, gay and lesbian issues, religion, and "The Patio", a forum for any discussions at all.
